Last week I took a trip to @arcsvaluevillage. Right away I was wondering where all the flashy garments were, then I found the Halloween section!!! That is where all of the glorious vintage is hiding folks! DO NOT fear the label “costume.” With that said, I bought vintage PJs to wear as regular clothes 😂 but obviously with a little vision of what this gown could be. How could I pass this up with that pleating detail, color, AND pockets!

The dress was very simple. I shortened the hem to make this more mod and then slimmed and hemmed the sleeves. After those quick adjustments, I was inspired to use some of the scrap, so I made a turban hat. After I put my outfit together, I wanted a little pop of red, so I pulled a little vintage lace hem tape through the knot. This detail is removable, and now I have a snazzy place to keep my pencils (you might think I’m joking but I’m not lol). *Swipe to see the evolution of the look on the picture with 3 looks side by side.
