Hello! I’m sorry it has been so long since I’ve blogged! I have so many updates! After having my daughter, Lynora, in 2015 I took a pause from tailoring to develop a project I’ve wanted to do for a long time–resizable baby clothing.

After many-a-draft of my dress I finally invented a design that fit from 3 month THROUGH 4 years. Ginger Bean Clothing was officially born!

In April of 2017, my family and I returned to Minnesota. We quickly fell in love with the Powderhorn neighborhood in South Minneapolis. In the beginning of 2018, my son, Dax, was born.

I continued my work developing more resizable designs up until this summer. I took a pause from sewing for Ginger Bean so I could spend more time with the family and think about my next steps. It has been so wonderful to work on creative projects around our house with the kids, and to start sewing for myself again.

With a little space from Ginger Bean this summer, I have been remembering how much I miss helping people shop their closets. Everybody has something in their closet that they are not wearing, but they can’t let go of. Sometimes it can be because of sentimental reasons, or that something specific drew them to the garment. I miss helping people bring those back to life. I have been doing a lot of thinking and planning lately and I am excited to announce that I will be rebooting reTHINK Tailoring this fall.
